Easter... maybe spring really is here!

I love.... Easter. Maybe that is because it is a sign of Spring. I love how the grass starts to turn green again, I love to see buds or popcorn (yes, I am in Primary) on the trees, I absolutely love spring flowers, especially Tulips, and I love being able to be outside and not freeze!!! Most of all I love the symbolism of life again. I am thankful to our Savior Jesus Christ, who made it possible for all of us to live again!!!

We wanted to take some pictures today of the kids in their new Easter/Spring clothes. They all got shorts, a shirt and sandals in their Easter Basket. Our Easter Bunny isn't big on candy.

We discovered that Madison now wears a size 7 shoe, the Easter bunny brought her size 5, Oops! She is growing up so fast and becoming a beautiful young lady!

Can you say Aeropostale? It is important to wear brand name clothing so that you don't look like a nerd. I wonder if this means I look like a nerd?! Tyler is stylin and handsome as ever. Yes, he and I could trade shoes because we wear the same size-YIKES! I am afraid we will soon be the same height also!

We enjoyed a family walk and just being together, well... for the most part!

Draper Temple Visit and Dedication

We had the opportunity as a family to attend the open house of the Draper Temple before it was dedicated. What a great experience to have with our young, (but growing too quickly) children. It is a beautiful building, and I continue to be amazed at how well the Church does things. I am sure that the many, many people that were able to attend were also awed by its beauty. For me, it was a rewarding experience to share with our children the testimony I have of the temple. I want them to always feel of my love for the temple and the work that is performed there, I want them to know that it truly is a sacred place. The kids seemed to really enjoy the beauty and peace of the temple. They all had very cute comments and said the celestial room was their favorite. Tyler, Madison, Jacob and I were also able to attend the dedication at our Stake Center. Mark stayed home with Kaden. It was a beautiful experience also. I think it was a little hard for the boys to sit still for that long, but hopefully they realized the unique opportunity that they had in being a part of this special occasion.

Hard work pays off!

Yes, it has been another busy week here at the Murdock house. Between Violin, Piano, Cello, Scouts, TaVaci (singing group), Karate, Activity Days, Homework, Young Mens, Primary, Work, trying to cook and clean, and my new foot zoning adventure, we seem to fill all the time each day. Some days I wonder why? Why do we get involved in so much? Why do teachers send home so much homework, and why does Tyler drag it out so it takes 3 times as long? Why does Mark come home an hour late each day? Why does Kaden try to sneak down and watch T.V. before he has practiced the cello? Why do I make my kids help with the chores when it would be much easier for me to do it myself. Why does Madison complain that she is bored and can't figure out what to do with all her extra time? Why can Jacob never find his scout book when it is time to go to scouts and for me WHY is there not more time each day? And then I have those moments, where it is all worth it and all the craziness doesn't seem so bad. Yesterday, even though it was another busy day, it was one of those moments when it seemed all worth it. Madison had a violin graduation and Kaden had his cello Twinkles graduation. It was so great to see and hear them do so well and both seemed to enjoy it. Moments like that make all the hard work worth it!
