End of school...just a few more happenings!

At last the end... of the end of school year pictures and blog worthy events! (at least i think so)
The last week of school, the entire 7th grade went on a field trip to Antelope Island. I was one of the parents who had the opportunity of being a volunteer to assist with this field trip. Lucky for me, this included riding the stinky smelly school bus free of charge!!!
I have to say the best part of the whole entire trip was of coarse that I got to be with my favorite 13 year old son, but the second best part was watching what actually entertains Tyler and his 13 year old friends.
I use to think that boys this age need a computer, t.v., Wii or DS, but I was mistaking. All they need is a bag of chips and a few Seagulls!!!
They spent a whole hour, during lunch, trying to get these Seagulls to land on them and eat the chips off their stomach. It was hilarious! They never were successful, but they sure had a great time.

I think this is about as close as they got!

Garrett putting the bait on Tyler's stomach.

I think every Seagull in the state was at Antelope Island that day!

Another fun event was Madison's violin concert. She did Awesome!
We did ask her if it was against the rules to Smile!!!

She even got to lead the group in a few songs!

The next few pictures are taken with Mark's camera phone. The coloring is a little off. To bad we seem to have a hard time remembering our camera!
Mark got to go with Kaden on his field trip to the Fish Farm. Yes, the same one that turned out to be our $90 family home evening. (A story for another day, and a great lesson learned!)
Kaden and Mark had a great time! Each preschooler was allowed to catch one fish. I wonder if the preschool teachers are smarter than us or if they also had a $90 lesson.

This is Kaden with his friends at "Preschool Graduation".
They are so dang cute!

This next picture is not real great, but a great event so it has to be posted. This is a picture of my "Graduation". After a stressful day of testing, our group all went to Sizzler in Logan with our spouses to celebrate. I am now an official Foot Zone Therapy Practitioner. I am so excited to have the hard part of the classes over with, but will miss the great friends I made. Hopefully we will still stay in touch. I really love zoning and love how much it has helped my family. Thank you to all of you who let me practice on your feet! Any questions about what foot zoning is, check out the website wedofeet.net.

COMING SOON.......All of our great Summer Happenings!!!

End of the school year FUN!!!

May is definitely a month of recitals, soccer and field trips. It usually is a lot of fun but also keeps us very busy. I thought I would take a minute and post a few of the things that have kept us hopping this month.
The TaVaci Concert... This is a singing group that Madison, Jacob and Kaden are all in. They have a lot fun performing and they are very fun to watch and listen to. Jacob is especially fun to watch, he is a real ham! This time he was asked to be in a Oscar the Grouch specialty. The pictures are not the best, but hopefully you get the idea!

A few of the fun things we did this past week...

Jacob's 2nd grade field trip to Dinosaur Park in Ogden
Jacob and a few of his friends.

Kaden was excited he got to go on the field trip also.
This is Kaden and one of his friends, Grant.
Kaden's Cello Recital...
He played "Lightly Row" and "Song of the Wind". Kaden was nominated by his teacher to go perform in Salt Lake at a Honors recital. He did a super job at both!!!

Jacob's piano recital...
He played "Copy Cat Cowboy". The best part of his performance was his "costume" and his cowboy accent when he announced his piece. At the end he bowed, waved his hat and said, "Thank ya Thank ya very much." It was so hilarious, he had the whole place in laughter. What a fun boy!!!

Only a few more recitals, field trips, and soccer games to go!

It's official, we have a TEENAGER!!!

Tyler turned 13 on April 28th, yes I am a little slow on posting. It seems like only yesterday that he was born. Boy...time goes by so fast. I am very pleased with what a fine young man he is growing up to be! He is a great brother, son and friend. I love that he seems to want me around and isn't yet embarrassed by me. He is a great big brother and can really get Jacob and Kaden into having a good time with him. Tyler is a great example to us by reading his scriptures every day. It is very important to him and I think that is awesome! A few of Tylers hobbies and talents are: SOCCER, Reading (anything he can get his hands on), Playing the piano, hanging out with his friends, baking treats (this is a new one), and EATING (I am just trying to figure out where it goes to in his trim, tall body.)
Tyler needed and wanted a new suit for his birthday. Doesn't he look sharp!!!

I love this picture, he just got his hair cut!
Opening his presents!!!

Cake time!!!

Tyler wanted a poppy seed cake for his birthday, he is a kid after my own heart.
TYLER, we love you so much and love that you are a part of our family.
Your teenage years will be great!!!
