Tyler's first Scout Camp

Tyler and his troop went to Camp Hunt. They were gone from Monday morning until Saturday. I thought it was very long, but Mark reminded me that two years would be much longer. Tyler had a great time. I am trying to figure out if that is mostly because his mother wasn't there to tell him to take a shower, wash his glasses, or to pick up his dirty clothes. Mark went Thursday- Saturday and made Tyler shower for the first time on Friday. I know this is only natural for a 12 year old boy, but there is something gross about not brushing your teeth or wearing deodorant for a whole week. Oh well, we were happy to see him anyway and don't worry I made sure he showered, brushed his teeth, washed his glasses and that he picked up his dirty clothes as soon as he got home. Well... after the big hug!

FHE at Willard Bay

For Family Home Evening a few weeks ago we were invited by the Hancey's (a family in our neighborhood and Bro. Hancey works in the Stake Young Men's with Mark) invited us to go boating with them at Willard Bay. We were excited because we went last year with them and had a super great time. Tyler was at scout camp so he missed out, but he had a great time at Bear Lake.(Camp Hunt)
Here is Mark up on the Wake Board, doesn't he look great! I think he looks hot!!!

Okay, so I got up too, I just don't look as good! I don't think my legs could be any whiter. I have a great farmers tan from working in my garden!!!

The kids had a great time on this hot dog... well at least until it tipped over and then Kaden wasn't so sure. Madison and Jacob wanted to do it again!
I think they look so cute!

Madison and Mark both are fish, they absoutly love water. Madison likes going with her Dad because it's more her speed. She is a dare devil! I'm really glad she takes after Mark with her love of water.

This is our cute little water logged family, minus Tyler of course. We were headed back to shore after a very fun, great night. Thanks Hancey's it was one of the highlights of our summer!
I couldn't resist taking a picture of this incredible sunset. WOW! And some people question that there is a God?

Hogle Zoo

Mark and the oldest three kids went back packing in the High Uintahs last weekend with my brothers and their girls, my Dad, and Mark's Dad. Kaden was feeling sad that he wasn't old enough to go so I promised him we would go to the zoo. He was so excited and just couldn't wait for the big day to arrive. We went with my Mom, Melanie, Heather and little Christian, Sarah, Camille and baby Luke. It was such a fun day being together. Kaden and Camille had a super time!
Grandma Forbush, Luke, Kaden, Camille, Heather and Christian in front of the monkey statue. We just had to have picture here because Heather loves monkeys!!!
Cute Cousins!

Kaden thought it was very important he had his hair done in a "Fohawk" and that he wear his animal shirt. He said the animals would think he was a "owner"(worker, I think) if he did those things. If you are like me, I have to be schooled in these new, cool things like a Fohawk (I don't even know if I am spelling that correctly) According to Kaden, and I guess Tyler taught Kaden, a Fohawk is a Mohawk with hair still on the sides.(not buzzed) Wow, I am getting old!!! He did look super cute, at least I think so!!!

Kaden and Camille with the Ghost of the Bayou. (white croc.)

Kaden, Camille, Aunt Melanie and the Gorillas.

My arms are almost as long!?!

Kaden and Camille had a ball chasing these Meerkats. The meerkats seemed to be enjoying Kaden and Camille too!

"That was totally wicked"

They both loved the snake slide at the zoo playground.

4th of July Weekend!

We had a great time at the Youngberg Ranch in Wyoming over the 4th of July weekend. As you can see we did alot of different things, some we were good at and others, well let's just say... we had fun!!!

This is at Spirit Lake where we had a picnic. The mosquitos were so thick we ended up just eating in the car. It was a bummer because it was amazing there... so BEAUTIFUL!
These mosquitos are so annoying, just hurry and take the picture!

Making S'mores!
After a grease fire, Mark decided he doesn't like sausage that much anymore. His hand and arm are still recovering from the burns.

We sure loved those S'mores! You would think my kids are sugar deprived or something, they didn't want to stop eating them!

I can almost reach that marshmellow with my tongue!
We went fishing at Longs Park Reservoir and had a great time! The kids all caught fish, thanks to the Youngbergs or "Youngbirds" as Kaden called them and to Mark who are all great fishermen. Madison and Tyler both caught 2 fish, Jacob caught 1 and Kaden helped reel in a few. I spent most my time untangling fishing poles, I guess it is a new talent!

Another fun thing we got to do was shot 22's. The kids enjoyed this, and probably would have continued for much longer if the rain and a thunder and lightning storm wouldn't have started.

Scott, Toni, Mark and I shot clay pigeons with shot guns. Mark, Scott, and Toni are all experts but my first time was the weekend before at the Brooks Reunion where I shot 0 out of 5. I was going to pass on this little adventure, but decided to try again. Well, it paid off because I shot 5 for 5 and amazed the crowd. (Mark, the Youngbergs, and the kids) I really wished my big brothers were there, they would have been so proud!!! I guess it is possible to teach an old dog new tricks, but then again I think it is very probable it was just beginners luck!
